The Challenge

The Mater Foundation is the charitable and community arm of Mater Health Services and the Mater Medical Research Institute.

Marketing through direct mail is a main source of fundraising income for the fund and the Foundation struggled with managing returned mail. It was stored for months in archives, and then entered manually into a database and removed from future direct mail campaigns. During the time between returned mail being received and the names being removed from the system, the foundation may have sent further communications based on old data.


The Answer

Our national state-of-the-art warehouse facility based in Brisbane now receives all the Mater Foundation direct mail returns. The returns are sorted and digitally scanned and then removed from the database. This method ensures that the Mater Foundation has accurate data for future mail outs with no risk of old data contaminating vital fundraising campaigns.
