The first Annual GJI sales conference weekend

The first Annual GJI Sales Conference Weekend commenced at the luxurious Hyatt Regency Coolum on Friday the 10th October 2008, for the Sales, Print, Data and Customer Service Teams. Everyone was very excited and full of energy on the Saturday morning after a good rest in our villas. After indulging in a 5 star breakfast full of anything we fancied, our training was off to a flying start with a warm up activity hosted by the Hyatt Activity Team near our conference room.
Greg Donlan, from ‘The Sales Coach’, was our VIP guest speaker and made the day extremely interesting, fun, and productive. The main focus for the day was going through the Sales Process, as well as ways to develop our relationships and communication with both external and internal customers. Some of the key concepts included: The Rule of Liking, Instinct Purchasing, Feel Felt Found Communication, and Effective Listening. As intense as our learning session was, the day was broken up into intervals where we were met again by the Hyatt Activity staff to participate in team building activities which definitely got us all laughing and enjoying each others company!
After the hard work was done, we got to enjoy some time together by relaxing in the beautiful new resort spa, playing tennis, and simply unwind with the kangaroos who shared the resort with us. All in all it was a great learning curve that we all have been able to put into practise immediately and had lots of fun together as a team at the same time.
